Generate your IMS scope statement from structured answers
The wizard asks structured questions about your organization and generates the Clause 4.3 scope statement for ISO/IEC 27001, 27701 and 42001, alone or in any combination, plus one derived certification scope statement per standard. It is free, needs no login, and runs in your browser.
Choose a starting point
Or start from an example organization
Each example loads a complete set of answers for a fictional organization, so you can read a finished scope statement first and then edit the answers behind it.
How the wizard works
The scope statement is a projection of your answers. To change the document, you change an answer, and every affected passage updates together. That keeps the master IMS statement and the derived certification statements consistent by construction.
Answer
Six question groups cover standards, organization, boundary, applicability, determinations and governance. Each question names the clause that requires it.
Read
The Document view renders the full statement. Click any underlined passage to see the answer behind it, the other options, and the applicable clause.
Check
A claim lint examines every statement about your organization. Unbacked claims and incomplete answers appear in the Checks panel and block the export until resolved.
Export
Copy the master IMS scope statement, the derived certification statement for each selected standard, and a JSON record of your answers.
Every generated passage carries a gloss. Click the underlined text to see the question, the answer that produced the passage, the other options, and the applicable clause. A claim lint examines each statement about your organization, and a statement without a backing answer blocks the export. You provide the names of all counterparties yourself; the wizard never invents them from other data.
The wizard runs in your browser. Your answers stay on this device until you clear them with Reset all data.
On the Modulos platform, the same answers come from your live registers: processing activities feed the PII role determinations and the AI inventory feeds the AI system scope. The wizard shows you the document logic; the platform keeps it current.
