About Modulos

The Modulos AI Governance platform helps enterprises build and deploy AI at scale in the era of regulated AI. Modulos is the first GRC platform for AI, offering tools and guidance for companies developing and operating AI systems. New AI regulations such as the EU AI Act pose a new challenge for businesses and Modulos supports them on their journey towards compliance. Modulos is a spinoff from ETH Zurich and works with customers around the world.

This position is either hybrid in Zurich, or fully remote in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain our software products and services
• Develop architecture proposals, including time estimates and assessments of tools and frameworks, to guide project planning and execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deeply understand business needs, translating them into robust, scalable solutions.
• Take ownership of projects from inception to deployment, demonstrating accountability and a proactive approach in introducing advancements to enhance team productivity and product functionality.

Your Profile

• The right mindset to work in a startup environment is the most important attribute. Having the right toolset ready, will help you even more:
• Communicative, friendly team player who estimates a familiar environment
• Self-driven, positive personality with the ability to execute a project from start to finish.
• At least five years of experience as a software engineer working on backend or fullstack with a track record of delivering successful projects
• Strong coding skills in at least one general-purpose programming language (preference for Python), strong ability to reason algorithmically. Knowledge of databases.
• Experience in building a SaaS platform using Microsoft Azure, as well as with AI products and infrastructure are a plus.
• Driven by engineering excellence standards
• Ability to efficiently get familiar with new code bases, and to design and implement new features.
• Interest and ability to learn new languages and technologies on the fly.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• You should be fluent in English as our team is international.
• You should be authorized to work in your country of residence. A local employment contract would be issued through a respective payroll service.
